Hello, fellow citizens of West Elgin and Dutton/Dunwich, and those beyond our cozy domain! I hope that this is the first of what will become a weekly or bi-weekly series of thoughts and reflections, which I offer for interest, entertainment, and I hope that they will provoke a few thoughts and reactions.
I hope to provide a weekly highlight for readers, and to get us all thinking about these things…

Other columns will appear weekly or irregularly in The West Elgin Chronicle or on my Facebook and other pages, but all of my writing will be shared here in A Scribe’s Musings, The Businesses of West Elgin, Poetry, Meditations and Prayers (CASA), sermons, or in other columns which may be added as time passes. Please read, provide gentle feedback and think!
Your humble scribe, Larry Schneider

  • The Gifts of Christmas Part 2
My current favourite form of gifting is an experiential gift. By this, I mean giving something of yourself as the gift, such as your time, energy, something you have made or repurposed, and love. To illustrate, I will mention two of my favourite gifts recently received from my own children. My son loves to kayak,… Read more: The Gifts of Christmas Part 2
